Despite its use of legacy characters, David Blue Garcia's Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a brutal love letter to Tobe Hooper's classic. The film certainly earns its bloody name. While the film will remain in slasher shallowness; the addition of Elise Fisher and drawing Leatherface back to its roots does provide some depth.
