Kraven's Last Hunt | #314

IN THIS EPISODE…

When you talk about comics in the mid to late 80s, the conversation usually circles around DC Comics. From their landmark titles like Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns and V for Vendetta. Though, quietly in the shadows loomed a hidden gem from the other half of the “Big Two”. In 1987, writer J. M. DeMatteis wrote a six-issue arc that pitted everyone’s favorite web-slinger against Kraven the Hunter. Though, this wasn’t just a simple battle. This was a character study and a humanizing experience for the hunter turned Spider-Man villain. Kraven’s Last Hunt depicted what happens when the villain finally bested the hero and the aftermath that falls. Captain Nostalgia and BlackNerdMagic are joined by Chris Barcomb (https://bit.ly/314guest ), writer behind the comic series The Amazing Adventures of Superior Sam, to talk about mental health, family values, self-worth and more!
