EPISODE 165: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

IN THIS EPISODE…

We’re joined by our resident movie man, Dan Rockwood and the woman behind our Etsy shop (and the best wife ever), Erica Burkey. We tried our best to give this one a bit more balanced. For this review episode, we have two Harry Potter fans and one mogul (or nomag - whichever one you prefer).

A BIT BUSY, ARE WE?

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was a wonderful and intimate addition to the Wizarding World Universe. Telling a story of Newt Scmander and friends, while building characters like Credence and Percival Graves. The majority of those characters return for this entry. While also giving us younger versions of Albus Dumbledore & our first live action version of Hogwarts famed villain, Gellert Grindelwald. While the film is excellent for fans of the mythology, is it too busy for the general population of moviegoers?

THE EASTER EGGS

One thing that we have to give this film credit for, is the amount of Easter eggs it pours into its’ short two hours. Not to mention, giving us characters (and twists) with Potter favorites like Nagini, the legacy of Dumbledore’s family tree, and more. We talked about an article in this one, be sure to read it here and let us know in the comments what you’re favorite easter egg of Grindelwald is.
