EPISODE 230: A Dog's Journey
IN THIS EPISODE..
Welcome to another adventure within the multiverse! We’re grateful for a number of things here at Victims and Villains but especially one of our staff writers in Mr. Matthew Basile. We’re letting Matt plot our adventure for this ride, so grab your best furry friend and buckle up for A Dog’s Journey. Matt is the author behind Wolf’s Howl and Brandon’s Fairy Tale. He’s been writing with us for a little over a year now. Journey with us as we travel throughout the lifetimes of a dog named Bailey as he is resurrected throughout several different breeds - all in the search for C.J.
THERAPY ANIMALS
Whether you’ve been listening to our show for a week or a year, the heartbeat of our show has been and always will be mental health and suicide prevention. Though, our website boasts several resources already (including the recent addition of Cope Notes) - we are constantly on the look out for more. One of the best resources, for mental health, is displayed right here within this film. The practice of therapy with animals. In this episode, we share our own theraptic journeys with cats and dogs alike. If you’ve never considered animals as therapy - we highly recommed giving it a shot. Animals not only provide companionship but relationship feel of judgment. They will always meet you where you’re at.
HAMPTONITIS
A HUGE shoutout to the crew behind GenreBlast Film Festival, who just recently hosted us. Being our first film festival, we really don’t have a lot to compare it to. Though, GenreBlast is a really filmmaker driven festival which houses both shorts and feature length films. However, it also houses scripts and table reads as well. We sat down with two filmmakers to discuss their script. The project is called Hamptonitis and the filmmakers are Anees Benferhat & J.D. Brookshire. Hit the play button to hear all about their upcoming television project!
And more importantly, if you or someone you know is struggling with suicide, addiction, self-harm or depression - please free feel to reach out. Use any our resources, call the suicide lifeline (1-800-273-8255) or text 741-741.
