WHO’S THE SCARIEST?
When it has come to a lot of our content for this year, we’ve been trying to deliver more depth to our conversation. A lot of times that means bringing in the source material with it. Before it was scaring up the big screen, Scary Stories was a trilogy of books released in the late 1980s. The books were retelling of American folktales and urban legends. The books were meant with much controversy but have gone down with much love and respect in the cult classic circles. We’re counting down our top three stories from the books.
LIVING UP TO LEGACY
Every week, Katie and Becky going through some of the worst episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? And for most of the children that grew up on that show also grew on these books. Sometimes nostalgia doesn’t always hold up but what happens when that horror is envisioned in a darker, grimmer tale?
