EPISODE 200: Watchmen (2009)
IN THIS EPISODE…
Welcome to another adventure within the multiverse! Dr. Manhattan has entered into our atmosphere and caused some changes to our podcast. We wanna thank you guys so much for helping us to get to our monumental 200th episode. Thank you to every download, every play, every review and every friend that we have made along these past few years. This episode is merely the beginning of our next era to Victims and Villains. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support.
The Journey & The Change
Did you know that Watchmen has been 1987? The film has been in development with Lawrence Gordon, producer of Die Hard & Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, since then. Joel Silver has been attached to produce with Terry Gilliam, of Monty Python fame, slated to direct. In it’s nearly 32 year journey to the big screen, Watchmen saw some pretty interesting names get attached. The journey is half the battle & we’re diving deep into it.
With our 200th episode here, we’re pleased to announce some brand new features to our show. You’ll notice a brand new theme, thanks to our friends in Beggars. The song has previously appeared on our Captain Marvel review episode. We’re also introducing a new segment called “Manhattan’s Media Moment”. This will be the point in our show, where we’re looking at content related to the subject matter of the episode and suggesting further reading, viewing or listening. For this particular episode, we recommend Before Watchmen: Minute Man & Doomsday Clock.
Turn it up!
Watchmen has a collective and quite interesting mix of music that add a complete other layer to the film. Featuring music of Nat King Cole, My Chemical Romance, Jimmi Hendrix & more. Watchmen has a soundtrack filled with a multitude of different genres that perfectly blend together to further create a unique listening experience with your already unique viewing experience. What is your favorite song from this soundtrack?
