Best F(r)iends: Volumes One & Two
IN THIS EPISODE:
Once upon a time, we here at Victims and Villains had more than one host. Every now and there, time opens up to let a Victims veteran return for an episode. I’m so excited to welcome back our former host, Kody “The Poet” Ball. If you’re new to our show, Kody is an independent folk singer by trade and his last episode was our The Disaster Artist review episode. Funny how the last time we were together was a Tommy Wiseau & Greg Sestro-inspiried picture.
FIRST THERE WAS DISASTER…
(0:41) For this episode, we are doing a bit of experiment. For the first portion, we recorded a minor review of Greg Sestro’s book, The Disaster Artist. Artist tells the story of how Sestro met Wiseau and how The Room came to be. Both of us have been heavily impacted by the book and can’t recommend it enough. If you would like to pick it up, click here. This is one of the first films we’ve covered, in a while, where we had no idea what we were getting into.
THE STAR IS BORN…
(15:25) We want to thank Greg Sestro and Alamo Drafthouse for making an interview possible. Unfortunately, we had some technical issues during the interview portion of this episode. So it can be a hard to hear at times. We are grateful for Sestro for his time and Alamo for their accommodations. Fast forward to 33:31, to hear our full length and in depth review of the duology of films. Read our spoiler free reviews here: Vol. One & Vol. Two.
