EMBRACING NOSTALGIA
When we first started out as a podcast, we covered nerd news. Ironically speaking, this was first how we covered Mera. We're returning to our roots before we jump into the ocean here. The upcoming Joker film from Todd Philips, Martin Scorsese & Joaquin Phoenix adds Mission Impossible: Fallout actor, Alec Baldwin, to its' cast. Baldwin is said to be playing the father of Batman, Thomas Wayne. We're jumping in to talk about the news. Full disclosure, since we recorded this episode, Baldwin has reportedly departed the upcoming origin film.
ALL THE SINGLE LADIES!
Dan Abnett creates a spin-off story line for the now "Queen in Exile" , Mera. The mini series creates an interesting dynamic where we see Mera on her own dealing with the fallout of the events of Aquaman series. It also showcases a new sided to beloved villain, Ocean Master, that we haven't seen before. Heroine and villain are the stars of the mini-series, each containing new depths to their mythology and bringing us into uncharted territory for this unlikely duo. We're discussing all the entirety of this new direction. If you guys have read this series, what do you think about this brave new direction?
